What I {Uploaded} Today

I'm so glad you stayed tuned!

So my faux brother pulled through and we were finally able to retrieve my b-e-a-utiful photos. The only problem is, they aren't very beautiful . . . at all

His fancy schmacy paparazzi camera is known to the rest of the world as a Nikon D70. This means, I have no idea how to use it. He gave me a quick tutorial before I took it home but the whole time he was explaining everything, I was nodding my head and saying, "uh huh, yeah, ok cool," but none of it stuck.

I have discovered that I do that a lot. The worst is when I am getting introduced to new people. The whole time someone is telling me their name. I am in my head saying, "Ok. Smile, nod, shake hand. Focus, focus, its your turn soon, 'hi, I'm Rachel' that what you say, your name is Rachel, focus, focus" I always pull off my introduction with panache, but the whole time I was prepping myself, I forgot to listen to what the other person was saying. So needless to say, I am awkward and bad with names.

We so eco friendly.

"Dramatic Banana"

Is it sad that when I try to spell banana I have to think of the Gwen Stefani song?

Anyways, the original point of the pictures was to show off my mad baking skills.

While those are cooling, let's check in with the turtles.

I don't know why, but recently I have become obsessed with Number 1 and Number 2.

Cookies are cool! Let's decorate!

I suppose the pictures aren't that bad.

Really, they would be better if there wasn't so much crap in the background. But alas, it's not my crap . . . and its everywhere, so there's really nothing I can do about it.

So we'll go in for a close up.

Hello my love. Let's eat.

Yumm...shortbread cookies with cream cheese frosting and a raspberry on top. They didn't come out looking exactly as planned but they sure did taste good. Which reminds me, have to give a shout out to The Pioneer Woman for the recipe.

Oh look it's Mia!

Now before the next photos, I must point out that her father took these. They aren't her best shots but she makes some good faces.

Apparently, babies don't like bright lights in their face.

It makes them sneeze.

So do we think the eyes will stay blue? I vote yes.

Now, I can be blamed for these pictures. This one's awful, but for some reason it reminded me of a crime scene photo from the 70s, so I like it. Poor Trinners...

These are equally bad. So I worked some magic and made them black and white. Everything looks better in black and white. Right?

Ok, ok, ok. I promise to download the user manual for the camera.

  1. You're the type that says, "Hey Charlie Brown, I baked you some cookies but they looked so good I ate them all myself."
